To be eligible for temporary registration as an Emergency Medical Responder, Emergency Medical Technician, or Emergency Medical Technologist-Paramedic, an individual, based on his or her area of practice, must meet the requirements under the Emergency Medical Technician Regulation. Practitioners who are practicing under a temporary registration may only provide services under the supervision of a registered practitioner holding registration at the same or higher discipline.
- Temporary registration is not renewable.
- It is valid from one-year post date of graduation; equivalency approval date; or 30 days after a Provincial Registration Exam, whichever comes first.
- Temporary registration is not available to individuals who have been unsuccessful at the Provincial Registration Exam.
