Registration Renewal
If you are a practitioner registered with the College, you must
renew your registration annually between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31.
Important: If you are not planning to
renew, you must complete a Declaration of Non-Renewal Form and fax to
the College at 780.417.6922 or scan and email to acp@collegeofparamedics.org prior to Dec. 31.
Note that there are additional fees if you choose
to reinstate your registration at a
later date.
What are the steps to renew?
- First, you should ensure that you have met all of your Continuing
Competence Program requirements and that your current CPR-C
(for EMRs and EMTs) and ACLS (for EMT-Ps) cards are on file with
the College.
- If your CPR-C or ACLS cards are current and you would like to
complete your Continuing Competence Program requirements before you
renew, click here.
- If you have completed your Continuing Competence Program
requirements for the year, your CPR-C or ACLS cards are
current and you would like to renew online (between Oct. 1 and
Dec. 31 only), click here.
- If you are non-practicing (ie. restricted to no patient
contact), and would like to renew online, click here.
- If you would like to renew by mail or in person, please ensure
all requirements have been met, complete the Registration Renewal
Form and submit it to the College
office including all applicable fees.
- The College recognizes a late renewal period each year (posted
above during the renewal period) when you can renew your
registration with an additional $175 added to the renewal
fee.
- If you have not renewed and the late renewal period has passed,
you must reinstate your registration in order to
practice in Alberta.
