Temporary Registration
Are you eligible?
If you have successfully completed an approved education program
at the EMT or EMT-P level, you are eligible to apply
for temporary registration.
If you are not a registered practitioner with the College and
are looking for temporary EMR status, click here.
Planning to apply?
To apply for temporary registration, you must submit the
following to the College:
- A completed Change of Status Application Form. Be sure to
check the 'Temporary EMT or EMT-P' box in the 'Category'
section.
- All necessary accompanying documents.
Once you have successfully completed the Provincial Registration
Examination, your status will change permanently to EMT or
EMT-P and you will receive a new registration card in the
mail. You will not have to complete another Change of Status
Application Form.
If you fail the Provincial Registration Examination, your
temporary EMT or EMT-P status will be revoked. If successfully
complete the exam at a later date and wish to change your
designation, you will be required to submit a Change of Status
Application Form.
