Section 31 of the Health Disciplines Act (HDA) states, “A complainant who is served with a notice that no further action will be taken may, within 30 days after receipt of the notice, request a review of that decision by the committee.” This request must be made in writing and be sent to the Registrar. “Before coming to a decision, the committee shall invite the complainant and the investigated practitioner to attend before the committee and make representations to it.” (HDA, 1992)
