Practitioners are able to receive credits for training activities provided by their employer.

The Alberta College of Paramedics recognizes the value of employer led training and wants to support this initiative.

In order to receive Continuing Competence credits for workplace training, organizations must be recognized by the College.

Due to geographically defined jurisdictional boundaries, the Alberta College of Paramedics can only recognize organizations within the province of Alberta.

To find out if your place of employment is a recognized organization, you can:

  • Ask your Training Officer/Chain of Command
  • Go to the “Add New Record” in the Continuing Competence tab in the navigation portal, select Workplace Training and search the Recognized Organization drop down list.

If your place of employment is not recognized by the College, notify your Employer/Training Officer to contact the College.
